Activities at the National Level

In 2025 the movement will celebrate the anniversary of its official founding. According to the IYCW International Plan of Action 2023-2026, all YCW national movements, YCW former members and supporters are encouraged to develop an activity calendar and carry out those activities.

All initiatives are welcome, such as:

  • Highlighting the 100 years of the IYCW through different activities, mass action, statements…
  • Organizing training on the specific topics that we are addressing in the IPA 2023-2026, for example care work, action campaigns against work precariousness, flexible work systems such as short contracts, outsourcing, casual work and unregulated telework, demand for a greater access to Social Protection, income generation and social solidarity economy, quality education, gender equality…
  • Organizing an exhibition on the history of the YCW, using photos, newspaper articles, and testimonials from past and present members of the organization.
  • Organizing a community workday in a local working-class neighborhood, paying tribute to YCW’s roots as an organization of young workers.
  • Organizing a conference on the history of the YCW and its role in the struggle for workers’ rights, with guest speakers such as current YCW members, former YCW members, and labor activists.
  • Organizing a recreational day for youth, based on YCW values such as solidarity, mutual aid, and respect.
